I am a folk music alchemist, merging today’s sounds with yesterday’s memories to create tomorrow’s magic. I make and perform experimental electronic music by channeling indigenous (Kenyan) ancestral energies. My musical expression blends ethereal electronic soundscapes , rich Kenyan folk idioms and textures with bright vocals to create other realms in my audience’s minds. My artistic practice is driven by the values of storytelling, archiving, and showcasing the beauty of diversity. My skills include Music production, performance, songwriting, instrument playing (Obokano, classical violin, guitar, bass, flute, recorder), music education facilitation and visual illustration. All this backed by a bachelor’s degree in music arts.
